Waleed Ahmed, PT, DPT (Medical Director)
Dr. Ahmed graduated in May, 1997 from Cairo Unversity in Egypt. He opened his practice in Egypt in 1998 and practiced until he moved to the United States in 2001. Dr. Ahmed managed the National soccer team in Egpyt from 1997 to 1999. He worked as an assistant professor in the Physical Therapy department at Misr University for Science and Technology in Egypt from 1999 to 2000. Dr. Ahmed obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Mass General in Boston in May, 2008. He has attended several Seminars about Manual Therapy treatment from St. Augustine in Florida and achieved his Laser Treatment Certificate in 2006. Recently, Dr. Ahmed achieved his Certification in ASTYM Manual Therapy.
Sushil Dhawan, MD (Orthopedic Surgeon)
Dr. Dhawan joined the Mountain Physical Therapy team as of January 2012. He is currently the Director of Orthopedics at Ellenville Regional Hospital in Ellenville, NY and also practices at Middletown Medical in Middletown, NY. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and also board certified in wound care and fellow of the American College of Wound Care Specialists.
Rohit Kesar, PT
Rohit graduated with his Bachelor's in Physical therapy from Lyallpur Khalsa College in 2002 with a University Merit position in India. He specializes in working with all kinds of patients, from pediatrics through geriatrics. Rohit served as a Chief Consultant Physical Therapist at Oxford Hospital in Jalandhar City, India and as the Director of Rehabilitation at Kesar Physiotherapy Clinic for 8 years. Rohit is currently working as a Home Health and Outpatient Physical Therapist at Mountain Physical Therapy in Monticello, NY.
Nelson Abenes, PT
Nelson studied for his bachelor of science in physical therapy at Pines City College and graduated in 2004. He has experience working in a home care setting in Guam and Saipan. He loves playing basketball,chess, and enjoys watching movies as well.
Ryan Manuel, PT
Ryan studied and earned his degree in physical therapy at the Philippine Rehabilitation Institute Foundation Inc. He is new to Sullivan County as of December 2011. Ryan enjoys watching movies and surfing the net during his spare time as well as going out with good friends.
Anna Muriel, PTA
Mirela Sabovic, Office Manager
Mirela graduated from Saranac High School in 2003. She then went on to earn her Associate's in Liberal Arts from North Country Community College and Bachelor's in Fine Arts from Plattsburgh State University in 2007. She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and son.
Mandy Pelosi, Receptionist
Mandy graduated from Monticello High School in 1998, where she also obtained her cosmetology license. She's the proud mother of two children Brianna, age 11 and Christian, age 6. Her many hobbies and talents include party planning, decorative cake making, and spending time with her kids.
Destiny Langlois, Receptionist
Destiny was born in Sullivan County on the morning of January 1st, 1982 making her the first baby born that year in four counties. She graduated from Liberty High School in 2000 and later went on to study at Sullivan County Community College where she earned her liberal arts degree and an AA in early childhood education in 2005. She enjoys baking and the outdoors, but most off all spending time with her two year old daughter, Orchid.
Lydia Sanchez, PT Aid/ Secretary
Lydia graduated from East New York High School. She then went on to complete her Med Certification and courses in Treatment for Seizure Activity and Gastrostomy Care and Replacement.
